Terms of Service
These terms apply when you use the hosted Checkloop service. By creating an account you agree to them. If you self-host Checkloop, the open-source license in the repository applies instead.
1. The service
Checkloop is a personal life manager: tasks, habits, calendar, contacts, projects, finances, notes and trackers. We provide it “as is”, with the goal of being calm, private and reliable, but without warranties of any kind beyond what is legally required.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for the activity on your account. Notify us promptly at hello@checkloop.io if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use Checkloop to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, send spam, attack our infrastructure, or store content that is illegal where you live or where the service is hosted.
4. Your content
You own everything you put into Checkloop. You grant us the limited right to store, back up and display it solely to operate the service for you. We do not use your content to train AI models and never sell it.
5. Paid plans
If you subscribe to a paid plan, it renews automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period. EU consumers retain their statutory withdrawal rights.
6. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with reasonable notice unless the violation makes that impossible.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages or for lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (e.g. for intent or gross negligence).
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Checkloop after that means you accept the update.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Switzerland. Mandatory consumer-protection rules in your country of residence still apply.
